Q. What happens if I go over my bandwidth limit?

A.

Our system will not allow you to go over your bandwidth limit.

You will be warned by our system when your bandwidth usage reaches 80% of your maximum allowed bandwidth per month. This will give you an opportunity to examine your bandwidth usage and take measures to limit or upgrade the amount of bandwidth you are using.

If you exceed your bandwidth limit, your site will automatically be temporarily suspended and a page will be displayed informing your visitors that the site is temporarily down.

Most sites require very little bandwidth, so it is unlikely you will ever run over your bandwidth limit. However, please try to keep an eye on your bandwidth usage...especially if you are allowing visitors to download large audio or video files.

Also, please remember that bandwidth works both upstream and downstream. If you upload something to your website from your computer, this counts against your bandwidth usage. Likewise, if someone downloads something from your website (ie - views a web page), this also counts against your bandwidth usage.

Anytime any type of data travels to or from our servers through your account, your bandwidth usage is impacted.

You can view your bandwidth usage at any time via your CPanel Control Panel.

If you would like to increase your bandwidth limit, you can upgrade to the next package available, or pay an additional charge per Gigabyte of traffic each month.

Contact Our Sales Department if you would like to upgrade your web hosting account's bandwidth.
